Amd radeon r9 290 cooling problems

So i've been hearing about these cooling problems with the amd r9 290. If i bought a chassi with great cooling power would the gpu hold it's temperature?

etc if got the COOLER MASTER HAF X BLACK would it's cooling power be enough?

Not on a stock cooler for the 290. It's not a matter of environment, it's a matter of a bad implementation from AMD. The models that should start appearing soon will have custom cooling, and will be very much improved.

The best solution is to wait for the non reference cooling versions to be released

A case with good airflow might help a little(1 or 2 degrees) or if you don't mind spending the money you can buy an aftermarket graphics card cooler and fit it yourself.
Something like the Prolimatech Black Series MK-26 Multi-VGA Cooler and then add 2 high quality fans

Couple of weeks at the most. Availability might be an issue for a bit though. I know Gigabyte has shown theres off, but no firm release date yet either.
