I really don't want a router if possible. I thought that perhaps a Ethernet hub would do the trick and connected the hub to the DSL modem and the computer and blue ray to the HUB, but the blu ray play can't find the internet. I have read many forums and they all speak geek-greek to me. So many problems with routers out there. Had a wired router a long time ago and it died on me. Would like to stay as old school as possible. I have one DSL modem with one Ethernet connection, one TV, one blu ray player and one regular computer. What is the easiest way to get both the TV and the blu ray player to both be able to reach the internet. (not necessarily at the same time.. it's just me. I'll be doing one thing at a time. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

After more research, I believe I have only one IP address so a splitter won't work because it will assign that address quickly and could assign it to my computer even if I'm not using it so it looks like I will need a router. Is that correct?
