1GB vs 2GB Video cards, is 2GB worth it?

I have a simple question, is 2gb vs 1gb video memory worth the money?

Also if anyone knows of a better GPU for under $100, please tell me. And if you know anything about the company ZOTAC, please tell me cause i am unfamiliar with them.

it depends on the gpu performance as well. for card like GT640 that 2GB are wasted. most likely it will run out of grunt before it can utilize all the memory.

no that gpu can not utilize 2gb of ram just get the 1gb.
heres a 650 for a couple over 100:

there are also 7770s for a few bucks more which would be much better. If you jsut cant spend two dollars more for a lot better performance then look at 7750 its the best gpu without a power connection.
and zotac is like the budget brand but since you are getting a budget gpu it should be ok
