I don't think the 2500k will bottleneck even at stock speeds. It definitely won't if overclocked.

Possibly in certain CPU bound games. You should overclock it of course, these are one of the best CPUs for it. 4.5ghz or higher with a half decent cooler

You will see a bottle neck on a CPU when the graphics are turned down. Most (gaming) benchmarks you see where the actual CPU speed is tested, and not the GPU, run lower quality settings like 1280x720 (and no AA, etc.). It shows the power of the CPU in the game without the bias of the GPU. Of course nobody with a decent video card ever games at such low resolution settings, so the higher the graphics settings, the more the GPU does the work and the less the CPU speed means.

That's not to say many of the games out there won't respond with more frames with a 4.8GHz overclocked i5 vs. a stock one at 3.7GHz in turbo, but it won't be a huge leap of difference (maybe 65fps vs. 74fps as a hypothetical CPU bound game example). Hope that helps.
