I am looking to purchase a new CPU, motherboard and RAM to replace my current setup. I believe I am going with the 4670k as my CPU. I dont think I can justify spending the extra 100 for the 4770k. I was thinking of 8GB of RAM unless there is some solid reason I could use 16GB.

I like to games like Skyrim, Borderlands, Battlefield, Bioshock, etc. I also do some CAD design on my machine using Microstation, Civil 3D, and some other Autodesk design tools. This upgrade is being tailored towards both of these uses.

I would like the entire budget for the motherboard, CPU and RAM to be at or under 500 bucks.

For the motherboard, i have been looking at a few that I like. I am interested in a good sound solution that is integrated into the board. Some of these boards are boasting better internet performance with these Killer NIC's onboard. There is a lot of marketing crap in all of the overviews and its hard to compare all the boards. I would probably only use a single graphics cards, though having two slots wouldnt hurt just in case. I will also be doing some overclocking, but nothing crazy.

Here are a couple boards that I liked.

This looked like it had the sound and networking stuff that I want.

This also seemed to have those things, but at a higher price. I looked into this one since I have seen a lot of recommendations for this board. Trying to find a reason to justify spending an extra 60 bucks if the only difference is the brand.

I also really like gigabyte boards but I havent seen any recommendations for any.

Thanks for your help

On sound and internet msi gd45 is better but overall asus mobo is better. But it is slightly overpriced compared to gd45. For your needs i would buy msi but decision is yours.
