Compare Mini-ITX vs Micro-ATX

What are the trade-offs or other factors that may affect a choice between these small motherboards?

I'm thinking of building a tiny PC that I can use in the living room as a SteamOS machine and maybe also a HTPC and many cases offer a choice between these Motherboard form factors. I can't see that one is necessarily better than the other?

Thanks!

Mini-ITX tends to be less overclock-friendly and a bit less powerful, but for a SteamOS machine, the mini-itx option is the way to go. Mini-itx also only allows 1 PCI-e x16 slot while Micro-ATX allows SLI or one card + add-on card.
