Another problem here,
Situation: Just upgraded modem/ router and internet connection is going very slow- at times- games lagging, pages loading very slow...
Other times, working normally.
3 computers on network. Mine never had problems before, but another user complained it was too slow. Now hers is good (she is in the same room as router/ modem- I am in a different room).
I did a speed test when it was going real slow and it was 1.5mbps MAX download / 5mbps up. When it runs well its around 30/5.
Specs:
Connection: Comcast cable up to 30mbps down / 5 up

Modem: Surfboard sb5101
Router: Linksys wireless wrt54g2 v1
NEW:
Modem: Surfboard extreme sb6121 docsis 3.0
Router: Netgear n750 wndr4000
My wireless adapter: Belkin USB adapter n150 ($40)
Any help would be appreciated on how to get the internet performing well. Thanks so much
