Dear members,
Since the clamp on my last heat sink snapped, heat has been plaguing my rig with crashes. I need a fix.
Can anyone recommend me a CPU cooler that is £100 or lower that can deal with heat issues.
For consideration, here are my specs:
Tower: Haf 922
Windows 7 64-bit
CPU:Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 @ 2.83GHZ
RAM: 4.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR2 @ 399MHz
Motherboard: ASUSTeK Computer INC. P5Q PRO TURBO (LGA 775)
Graphics Card: (1440x900@60Hz) 1023MB GeForce GTX 550 Ti (EVGA)
I don't really mind how big it is, but be aware I am NOT looking for liquid cooling. Also, since the HAFF is pretty big, I hopefully would be ok with most stuff, but I would appreciate a heads up if I'm wrong.
I have been hearing good things about the Noctua NH-C14. Anyone got any thoughts?
