i have the hyper 212 evo and an amd fx 8350 and at idle speedfan says its at 30c (i know thats normal) but when i run prime95 it tells me it gets up to about 34c. i know this is way too low for the 212 evo to perform so is speedfan lying. also i put another fan on the 212 evo so it has twice the cooling power, idk if that's what it is but someone please help.

Sorry I didn't see that part.

Try using HWMonitor to look at your CPU temps, I've used speedfan for a while, but showed really weird temps for me as well.

as for the Prime95 are you running it in "Small FFTs" and for how long?

You need to be running it for about 10 minutes to see temps set in.

Unless within the 10 minutes it gets over 80c turn it off.

i haven't changed the voltages, my question said i use speedfan, and it doesn't say if its core or package, i labled it as cpu because i found out it was the cpu

The problem i've been havin with all these temp monitors except speed fan is that it doesn't show my cpu, the only thing i've seen under cpu in hwmonitor is package temp and it says 206c which has to be wrong, on prime95 i've run 2 of the 3 torture tests but not the one that uses alot of ram, i usually run it for about 10mins but yesterday i restarted my computer and speed fan read my cpu at 48c on the first torture test so i think speedfan just needed a restart.
