Hello, I just put together a new build last night and while putting it together I was a little worried maybe I used too much thermal paste(It wasn't overly to much, but still I am always nervous with it.) and wasn't quite sure which direction to point my aftermarket cooler. Ran it for a few hours last night then woke up today and used Prime 95 for about 15 minutes to test it. I am not sure if I should be looking at the Temperature under CPU or if i should be looking under AMD FX 6300 or a combination of the both. I am using an after market cooler and not oc'd.(If I can get temps right I would like to OC a little). Here is a post of my before and after Prime 95 temps. Any advice would be gladly accepted.

The AMD temperature fluctuates between 11 and 25c at idle and the CPU between 30-35c

After about 15 minutes of Prime 95 the AMD temp was around 38c and the CPU around 50c

Yup, that's good.

The part under AMD FX-6300 is your Core temp (max 62C) and the part under CPU is your socket temp (max 70C).

Your temps are very good, nothing to be worried about.

Well, it needs to stay under 63C, 70s won't do, but you're fine right now.

Try to have the fans mounted so they take air from a ventilated cooler area of the case and towards an exhaust fan. Most cases have rear exhaust, if your case has fans on the front I say do that. Most importantly, just have it going with the general direction that air flows in your case
