so here is what happend so far i followed all the instructions and believed to have put everythig in the right place with the mothboard following the positive and negative when inserting the front panal were they need to go. once my set up was done i reliazed a couple of things that i DID not take into considertion was ESD, the youtube videos i watch did not explain this to me untill i strted reading on this website. i was working over carpet and on a wooden table. next was the motherboard. again thevids i watch did not say anything about the spacing screws untill i attempted to try and screw the board to the actual case and relaize they would not reach. so with everything completed i attempted to turn on the comp, but nother happend no fans no lights nothing was working once i plugged the power supply on and tried to turn it on... so my next question what should i do? rma everything?

Solution
You can try and check if the system works by putting a screwdriver on the power on jumper on the mobo...
Exactly what happened to me; didn't know what to do, remembered my screwdriver conducts electricity and powered it on. Turned out to be a faulty connector/cable/button.

If that doesn't work, check your ATX power cable and your CPU (8-pin) power cable. Disconnect and reconnect them, just to be sure.
If it still doesn't work, check for anywhere where the mobo might short-circuit with anything metallic, and as a last resort, take everything out of the case and do a "test-bench" on a random box.

Then try and see what doesn't work, and return the faulty material.

Its most likely your case.... I bought a cheapo case like that and I assure you they always fail... Most right out the box:( I'd suggest you get another case. But then again anything's possible so get a 2nd opinion. I suggest the nzxt source 210 its like 45bucks max! And it wont fail!
