I have a western digital mechanical hdd and a cd drive plugged in via sata6gb cables and the bios is saying, "The current BIOS setting does not fully support the boot device."

then in yellow text it states, "go to advanced > CSM Parameters, and adjust the CSM settings to enable the boot device."

Ive went in there and tried switching around everything to no avail. And when I go into sata config, it says none of the sata6g are present.

I'm actually experiencing the same problem. I am using an ASUS M5A97 R2.0 running UEFI BIOS v. 1903

Any solutions?

I solved the problem by actually plugging in my HDD and CD Drive correctly. I hadn't plugged in the SATA cables yet. Once i did it solved the problem
