I plugged my iPod into my computer and suddenly it got very laggy. My mouse was very slow even though I had nothing open except for Skype and Comodo Dragon, I opened up task manager and it said my cpu was at 99%. I tried ending my browser's process but it wouldn't close. I then tried to turn off the computer but again nothing happened. I finally powered it off using the button and when I tried to turn it back on all I got was a black screen. My computer is far from bad, and I have an AMD Phenom quad core processor.

did you unplug the ipod..lot of older motherboards had issues with the power that apple products needed on the usb bus.

if you hung the motherboard you may have to clear the cmos.

I do not hear any beeps and the displays don't even indicate that they are working. I do hear the fans though.
