so i'm looking through my options on buying an i5 for an introductory / budget gaming rig, and i'm thinking: which specific model makes sense? aren't they all the same thing just screened at the factory?

ignoring the K version, is there really any noticeable difference between 4430, 4570, and 4670? or is an i5 an i5, and the big difference is actually between i5 and i3?

do i just buy the cheapest i5 version and call it done?

with intel there the same parts just there binned at the highest speed they ran at before they failed intel inhouse testing.
for the money the 4570 were selling at one time at 160.00 at micro center. the cpu prices jump at lot the older 4770k was 249 at one point.
