Hi guys,
Just finished building my first gaming computer and I wanted to learn how to over clock my CPU.
Im running a gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 mother board.
I've been trying to look for guide on how to O.C using the gigabyte UEFI bios but I can only find guides using a Asus mobo.
Any help would be awesome!
Thanks guys

Any 990FX board should give you just about complete control over a FX 6300. You should be able to raise the multiplier and voltage in BIOS. Do not use any software to overclock. What kind of cooler do you have? You're not going to get very far on the stock cooler.

Hi thanks for the response!
Im running a cooler master hyper x 212 cooler for the CPU.
I have 4 other fans running inside as well.
I tried following this guide, http://www.overclock.net/t/1348623/amd-bulldozer-and-pi..., but I can't find some of the settings on the Gigabyte bios.

Do you know how to access BIOS? I recommend getting familiar with your BIOS. Read your manual. You shouldn't need a guide if you know how to work your BIOS.

Yup! I've read the manual and know how to access it. Just wondering about some of the extra setting thats on the guide such as the over voltage protection on the Asus boards, I cant seem to find them
