Ok - I have a 3TB drive I'm trying to configure in Windows 7 64 bit.
I'm on a P6X58D Premium Board using Intel's ICH10R ports. I have it configured to a RAID array (using 2x 1TB WD black drives in RAID).

I have the 3TB drive plugged into the ICH10R Sata Ports. It shows 746GB in the BIOS (Raid Screen where you can hit CTRL+I to enter the RAID options). It shows 746GB in Win7. It's configured as a GPT drive.

Inside of the Intel Matrix Storage Console it shows the full 2.7TB. I cannot "extend" the partition to get it to use the entire 2.7TB of space. I can format it using the 746GB.
I've also tried installing the Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver, and after I install and reboot - my computer won't boot into Windows. So I have to end up going into "repair windows" and having it default back to the last good boot. I've read the RST installation can cause problems.

Now, the kicker is I can swap the SATA port to the Marvell Controller (which there are 2 of) and it works fine - shows us at 2.7TB inside of Windows Disk Management. Formats as such, etc. But it will not show the entire 2.7TB no matter what I do inside of Windows Disk Management.

Any idea's to get it to work on the Intel ICH10R port?

I've tried everything at this point...
