Wondering if this build would work for oc.

Solution
Yes without OC the build will run fine, but when you Overclock your system uses more power, so just under 500w will jump to well over 500w.

Plus I like having my PSU be much higher than what my system uses, because say your system runs at 475W if you get a 500W PSU its going to be running at almost 100% all the time, say you get a 600W PSU it wont be running at almost 100% it can handle the 475 with less stress, make sense?

I would highly recommend a higher capacity PSU if your going to overclock, I say between 650-700W
And make sure to get a reliable manufacture like:
Corsair, Antec, Coolermaster, Seasonic, Thermaltake.

Would the build itself work w/o problems? Even without OC?
Probably going to shell out money for a new PSU later on.
I was on http://www.extreme.outervision.com/psucalculatorlite.jsp and it showed the recommended amount of wattage was just under 500w.

No Thermaltake is not a recommended manufacturer. They are known for using a lot of junk OEMs. Same with Cooler Master - the V series is made by Seasonic, but that's about it. Anything made by Seasonic or Super Flower is good. But Thermaltake is not known for producing quality supplies. And the correct term is "wattage" not "capacity".

OP - how much are you looking to spend?

Yeah, I currently have a Thermaltake TR2 TR-500 500W. REALLY wish i got at least a 600w. Probably $100 or less.
