Recently bought a GTX 770 SC which replace my GTX 460 SC. While playing BF4 I've noticed my FPS dipping to 40-50 fps, ultra settings MSAA off, ambient occlusion off, Vsync off, for some reason I'm averaging 60-70ish FPS, which is quite low from others who have the same card. When I installed the card, all old drivers got wiped and it was a clean install.

Is there something I'm missing? or doing wrong? almost everyone I have talked to is averaging about 80-90fps on ultra. I'm leading towards doing a fresh Windows 7 install and seeing what happens.

PC Specs:
i5 2500k @ 4.5ghz Water Cooled
8gig Gskill 1333
EVGA GTX 770 SC ACX
OS runs on one SSD, BF4 runs off another SSD
Windows 7 64 bit

Just did a test on BF3 with video setting completely maxed including MSAA etc, was getting an average of 100-110 FPS, maybe it's the game itself causing bad FPS?

I wouldn't doubt it, BF4 is a half assed game with more things broke than working right.

Try re installing the game and the web plugin for your browser, I'm guessing this is the issue as I had graphics problems with my 460 before I upgraded and a reinstall fixed them.

Completely wipe the game and plugin and re-install?, what about origin?

its the game. Its a known issue for the fps dips in bf4. Tons of people on the bf4 forums are experiencing the same problem and i myself am too. Also make sure your motherboard drivers are up to date too.

everything is up to date, just drives me crazy to spend $400 on a GPU upgrade to get like 50 fps average on ultra, when I hear people averaging 90ish

Fixed the problem lol, the adapter that came with the card were 6x2 pin into an 8 pin and 2x4 pin into a 6 pin, at first I used the adapters, I was cleaning out all the dust and crap from my CPU rad, and decided to use the cables that came with the PSU. I'm seeing 20-25 fps increase now even with MSAAx2 on, GPU apparently was being underpowered.

I got the Gtx 770 myself and first of all, have you updated your bios? (you would know if you just got it) and have you installed the newest drivers? are you downloading anything? have you managed 3d settings in nvidia control panel? All of that can help but else just set settings abit down

i get a taped 60 fps cause i turn on v sync and my monitor has a refresh rate of 60 Hz so F**K you nvidia my specs are cpu(fx8320) gpu(r9 280x)
ram(8gb) and by the way there is no problem with the game or your hole system including the os that is the best you can get with that gpu and the tapped 60 fbs with maxed out sitting including the super-sampling to the highest as possible

hey hey! nobody says you need to turn v-sync on. If you turn v-sync on, you're most likely less experienced with video games because v-sync is not worth turning on. Thats why Nvidia is delivering G-sync which is much better.

There is no need to start cursing and stuff. I personally don't like Amd but i don't go around and bitch about it lol

who said that i hate nvidia i love nvidia but only in the mid range cards they are more stable but when it comes to high range cards amd is the better option and even if i turn v sync off and get above 60 fbs it wont make a diff cause the monitor
has a refresh rate of 60 Hz and the extra fps isn't really real the game speed is still on 60 fps
