So I got my new cpu(fx 8320) and mobo(gigabyte 970a d3p) today and after 7 hours of trying to get my setup going, my friend and I exhausted all options and figure the mobo is DOA. We figure the cpu fan pin connector was faulty, as I have read that some motherboards will simply not BOOT if it doesn't sense the fan is plugged in and working. Is this true with the particular board I have?
Anyways, every component seemed to work but the thing would just not boot.

So here is my question to you guys as I;m hesitant to get the same motherboard again. With my current setup that I will list below, what is a good mobo to get around $120 tops from WWW.CANADACOMPUTERS.COM

Setup:
AMD fx 8320 + Hyper 212
Geforce GTX 760 oc 2gb
8gb g.skill ripjaws
500gb hd
650w coolermaster
24" lcd

" NEED MOBO "

I would appreciate it.... today was not a fun day.

Damn it, their website is giving me an error I cannot connect. And if that mobo is the one that is 88 dollars or so, it was open box. Is there any other 2 you can pick out for me just in case there is none in stock.

And while on topic sorta, the Hyper 212 heatsink cooler is compatible with the FX 8320 and these mobo's correct?

ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0 AM3+
they only had the LE in stock, any good? Reviews look ok on newegg

Any other recommendations before I drive in this snow storm to get a new mobo lol... I don't want to push the prices too high, so as I mentioned above if it has to come down to it, will the ASUS M5A97 LE VERSION suffice?
