leds are better in a few ways, there generally just as bright, last longer and generally need less maintenance.
the down side is they can be expensive in comparison.
but there are other issues to consider. leds that strobe produce a lot of heat and this must be dealt with efficiently or they will be very short lived.
truth is both have advantages and disadvantages in a pc case but leds come out slightly ahead when there properly fitted.
