I am looking for a 1000/900 or 950W power supply, i need it to very very efficient and run all day long. I am building a high end pc. BUT i need it to be cheap (sorry)

Hi There Meepz. That card recommendation is for your entire system, not just the card, and includes a healthy safety margin. The other parts dont use nearly as much as the GPU. You could get away with less, but I would suggest you shoot for the 700-800w range.

That said, in a high end system that might be overclocked or etc in the future, I see no reason not to aim a little higher. The PSU will run most efficiently with a little bit of extra room.

These would be excellent choices:
SeaSonic S12G-750 750W ATX12V / EPS12V 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Active PFC Power Supply, - $109

i found a few, for 125$ you can get Antec HCG-900 but its 80+ bronze( id avoid this though)

for 190$ there is OCZ ZX 1000W modular, 80+ gold.

and for 210$ there is seasonic X 1050W and XFX pro 1050W also 80+GOLD. if you want platinum your gonna need around 240$ for simillar wattage PSU's.

all of these are solid PSU's with good ratings from jhonnyguru.

for a build like that a 1000W PSU is a major overkill! you need 1000+W PSu when your running some crazy setup with 3/4 way SLI! for a build like that 600W PSu is more than enough. something like seasonic S12II 620W or xfx pro 650W psu will do fine.
