Cooling Fan Not working

I have a 120 millimeter cooling fan its 12v and has a 5 pin socket where should i connect it to ? I tried almost every pin on the motherboard but nothing works please help !

Hi

motherboard cooling fans are normally 3 or 4 pin
The CPU fan is usually 4 pin

the notes for that fan say it is for a Dell motherboard.
Is your motherboard made by or for Dell ?

you can get 3pin to 4 pin adapters and adapters for molex to fan connecters I don't know if an adapter for Dell connectors is available

Your motherboard manual will show where the fan connecters are

Ok first of all I am sorry I wrote that my fan has 5 pins it actually only has 4 pins but whenever i plug 4 pins in the fan won't work but when i plug in 3 pins it would work but its loud and I cannot control the fan speed through the bios
