I shut down my computer a few days a go and it was started a windows update, I left my PC the day after when I go on my PC on start up I get blue screen, I can't see the error message as it seems to disappear in less then 2 seconds. To fix this I went into safe mode and system restored to the earliest point (Which was only the 8th of December 2013) But every time on start up it blue screens, I then restore to the same point. all the system restores are critical updates from 8th on. I load it up today and It goes into start up repair but says it didn't fix it and I continue to blue screen.

I want to avoid a full reinshall at all costs, I regrettably don't have a backup either.

Since you were able to start in safe mode, then it could be a driver problem. Try to start again in safe mode and uninstall some of your drivers. Graphics, network adaptors and sound drivers, printer, scanner, web camera etc. Then try to boot normally and reinstall them.
