AMD Display Drivers won't install

Hello everyone!

The past two days, I've had some stupid problems with my computer.

Every few minutes, the screen would come up with red and black squares, like a chess board, then it would go back to normal and say "AMD Display Drivers has successfully recovered from an error" or something like that. So I decided to try and update them. I uninstalled them using the Device Manager in Windows and then tried updating them with that awful AMD Install Manager thing that you have to use. Every single time, it has taken about 40 minutes to install everything (it won't let me uncheck anything before installation), and then given new an error log at the end. The log says that everything except the Display Driver had installed successfully.

I get this:

AMD Display Driver
Final Status: Fail
Version of Item: 13.152.1.8000
Size: 90 Mbytes

I've cleaned the registry using CCleaner, gone into Safe Mode and uninstalled all the AMD and Nvidia display drivers using Driver Sweeper, then booted back in and tried installing them again, but have got the same error log each time.

I can't manually install using Device Manager because my graphics card isn't shown on there anymore, even after making it look for hidden devices etc.

My card is an Asus Radeon HD 6450 1GB Silent.

I don't know what else to try. Any suggestions?

I can only download the auto detect thing, I cannot find any old drivers, other websites claiming to have old drivers redirect to the AMD website, which tells me I cannot download from external sites.

I run the auto-detect thing and it comes up for a split second and then terminates.
