Hello, i'm new here but i like this site a lot. My PSU (factory one) is making a noise and im thinking of replacing it. The thing is that i would like to replace it myself so that i can start learning :) but i read some stuff on the internet and i'm a bit scared.
I read something like maximum wattage of the motherboard and it might burn my PC etc..

Since i live in Greece the parts here are a bit limited so im thinking of buying this one CORSAIR CX600 - 80 PLUS BRONZE CERTIFIED POWER SUPPLY

My current PSU is this LPG9-43 Power Supply ΑΤΧ 500W

My mobo is Gigabyte P55M - UD2
My CPU is i5 750
And my GPU( which im thinking also to upgrade in the future) is radeon 6450.

Another question that i have is should i consider the CXM model?

So what do you guys think? Should i try it myself or i will burn my PC?
Any tips are welcome.

Sorry if it is too much to read. I wanted to do it right.. :)
Thanks in advance!

The PSU you picked seems to be a pretty solid choice.
Corsair usually has good quality. At a higher price though.
I don´t know what PSUs are available in your region but these brands are also worth a look when i comes to PSUs: BeQuiet, EVGA, XFX, Seasonic.

If the M version costs as much as the none-M version (or a little bit more), I´d always pick the modular one.
