You should not be OCing on that motherboard at all. OC genie ONLY works if your CPU is kept cool enough too.

So do you have an aftermarket cooler?

I only use the stock cooler for my i5 4670k processor. it runs cool though with 35C and 45-48C while gaming. .

I am sorry to say but I am not surprised. You should have bought a Z87 board if you wanted to overclock.

So whats the point of OC genie 4 in h87 gaming motherboard? hmmmmmmm some people have oc their board with h87 g43 gaming by using oc genie 4. not as good as z87 board but slighty better than default clock speed.

That is fine. But its not suggested at all. Much less a good idea without an aftermarket cooler.

Use the things to remember in this videos descr: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujyEGCDhx40

I could actually recommend OC Genie for beginners, though you might wanna lower the voltage slightly and reduce wear and tear on your CPU.
