Should I use GPT instead of MBR?

I am having trouble getting clarification on whether I should use GPT or MBR on my new HDD. I am formatting a new 1 TB HDD on a new system using a MB with UEFI that will be booting Win 7 Pro. I understand my HDD is not large enough to justify GPT for partition purposes, but just want to know the other, real benefits and if the these benefits justify using GPT. Any guidance will be much appreciated.

I'm going to stick my neck out here and say HELL NO!!! I am just now finishing the cleanup of a GPT installation. I bought a new Samsung 840 EVO 250GB SSD, got it home and the one time I didn't read the Installation Instructions...it came and bit me on the arse. I spent 10 hours on 2 different desktops and a laptop trying to delete the whole Volume and then Partition. I was finally successful when only after smoking a 750GB HDD(the first one I ever did that to)and finally resorting to MS-DOS and my old Floppy Drive.
So...in a nutshell...NO.
In my search for answers I found I was not the only geek to have such issues. I would tread very lightly my friend.
