I am building a low grade gaming system which is less than $300 but can go over a little. I know it is not much but I do not even play games that require such power. Anyway, my question is:

what is better 1x4gb 1600 mhz for $33.99

or

2x2gb 1333 mhz for $38.53?

Here is my build

I might even change to APU so this question is vital. Should I get 1 fast stick of ram or 2 slow sticks of ram?

Solution
For your build I would choose the 1x4GB 1600MHz for $34.
It will out perform the 1333 even though the two pieces would be operating in dual channel mode. It would also give you the option to expand to 8GB in dual channel in the future some time.
Also, it is less expensive.
