I just built a PC with an ASUS Z87-A, i5-4670, ASUS R9 290, and Windows 7 Home Premium. I keep running into this problem:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/h9ibcfxdm08b0j5/2013-12-14%20...

Then the screens go black but Windows is still running. After I reset, I find this error:

The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device ACPI\PNP0A0A\2&daba3ff&2.

Any ideas?

Well, tried that yesterday. Left the PC on, went out of town and when I came back, the static screen was back on. This is the latest crash dump:

On Sun 12/15/2013 6:36:10 PM GMT your computer crashed
crash dump file: C:\Windows\Minidump\121513-14336-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: atikmpag.sys (atikmpag+0xBD7C)
Bugcheck code: 0x116 (0xFFFFFA800BE08090, 0xFFFFF88004CD8D7C, 0x0, 0x2)
Error: VIDEO_TDR_ERROR
file path: C:\Windows\system32\drivers\atikmpag.sys
product: AMD driver
company: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.
description: AMD multi-vendor Miniport Driver
Bug check description: This indicates that an attempt to reset the display driver and recover from a timeout failed.
A third party driver was identified as the probable root cause of this system error. It is suggested you look for an update for the following driver: atikmpag.sys (AMD multi-vendor Miniport Driver, Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.).
Google query: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. VIDEO_TDR_ERROR

So I'm going to uninstall everything AMD and reinstall the latest catalyst and ONLY that and see what happens.
