Hello, I am building a new PC. I will be using a Corsair CX600 power supply.I want to ask 2 things.
1: If there is a power cut and my PC suddenly shuts off, will it malfunction after some time or it will spoil some of my components.

2. If it does, then will I need to get a UPS for my PC. Please Help :)

First of all, in theory everything could damage your computer.

That being said, I would say the biggest issue with power cuts would be the loss of unsaved work rather than real damage to your rig.

I remember I lost two or three motherboards (all Gigabyte! ^^) about 15 to 17 years ago due to lightnings, overvoltages or whatever that was.
But todays PSUs and motherboards are so duarable, it´s totally different.

I also used to have an UPS back in the day which served me well during power cuts but I wouldn´t get one today except you really really REALLY can´t afford to loose your unsaved work.

A loss of power is normal for components. You will eventually turn them off by the switch anyway. Having an unplanned power outage will not hurt a computer, and your power supply will protect against power over voltage and under voltage events (surges and brown outs).

However; what it cannot protect against is the loss of unsaved work in the event of an interruption. And in rare circumstances the OS might become corrupted. A UPS can protect in these scenarios.

To choose a UPS, just make sure that you are get one that is rated for about 30% more that your maximum draw.

Also budget for the additional costs. You will need to replace the batteries every few years, and the old batteries cannot be disposed of in an ordinary landfill (their heavy metals must be handled differently). Different jurisdictions have different costs to dispose of batteries properly.
