Corsair/G.Skill RAM compatibility issues?

Hey guys,

First off here's the set up:
MOBO
CPU
Corsair RAM
G.Skill RAM

So individually the two work fine - the corsair doesn't give me BSODs and neither does the G.Skill. When combined I get "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL " I trired running a memtest on just the G.Skill RAM and it was fine on one pass, tried running the memtest on both together over night and it froze (after about 4 minutes in, wish I'd noticed before I went to sleep).

So my question is, is there any reason they should be incompatible? Same size, frequency, timing, voltages as far as I can tell, and I'm just not sure why I get BSODs with it.

Thanks

Some memory just does not work well together. For example, G.Skill strongly suggests that you buy matched sets that have been tested together.

That said, I've run different sticks together many times. You must be running the same speed, the same voltage, and the same timings for ALL the timing settings.

If they won't run under those conditions then just move on and use them on different builds or sell a pair. 8GB is sufficient for pretty much anything other than memory intensive programs and lots of virtual machines.

As mentioned by RealBeast, may just not want to play nice, but...try manually setting freq to 1600, base timings to 9-9-9-24 and raise SET DRAM Voltage to 1.57 and give them a try - it's perfectly safe - if still problems, look in the Advanced timings and let me know what the tRFC is set to
