i5-4430 or amd fx 8320

im getting which of them for heavy gaming ... i just wanna run games at high quality but i dont care about AA , AF or high resolution so which is better bec im getting a high vga for either of them

one has 4cores and the other has 8 and the i5 is better in single threading gaming but the amd is better in multithreading gaming so which should i choose and does the games mostly use single or multi threading

do u mean every single type of gaming? bec benchmarks show that amd is better in multithreading but the i5 is better in single .... its so confusing

i5 has better IPC..
Mostly games right now optimize for 4 core or less..and just a few will use more than 4.
so..
we can assume for today games and maybe next year, intel still better gaming processor than amd..
and..
because i5 has better ipc, clock per clock efficiency is more than fx processor, even if the can utilize 6 theads, i5 will slightly better..
