I need to save money on my motherboard, so i am going the micro atx route. But the things is I want the best performance out of my new rig. I will be using and amd fx 8320 with a hyper 212 plus. and there will be two additional case fans. I want to be able to overcloking my cpu to about 4.3-4.5ghz at least and my cpu a little bit without my computer turning into an oven. Will the

I will never overclock an AMD FX processor on a mini-itx board due to multiple reasons:
1. The processor will run too hot due to not being supplied enough voltage.
2. The processor will be much less overclockable due to the board not being able to cope with the wattage it draws from the PSU.

I would recommend at least a micro-ATX (Less preferable) to an ATX (preferable) motherboard for overclocking.
If you do want overclocking on mini-itx, go with the intel core i5-4670k, as it is much better in terms of power draw and thermals.

i also have the same problem buddy, unfortunately i dont have an answer yet. But one other thing ive heard somewhere is that for the 8320 and its fellow amd 8 core cpus to be overclocked the motherboard must have 8+1 power phases if ive got that right? overclocking is uncharted territory for me but the build im doing is also micro atx and i would have liked the option to overclock further down the line. i know though if anyone were planning to overclock they should at least have a board with VRM, and although people overclock without features like that i worry for the lifespan of their motherboard, it might not have visible damage and it may still work but its not good for motherboards to be put under such strain i saw a linustechtips video where he spoke about that. apart from that im in the same boat as you, doing my first build in a few weeks with the 8320 aswell, so far this is the board im going with:
Asus
M5A78L-M/USB3
the only feature its really missing that i wanted is overclocking capabilities, unless anyone can correct me on all of this? anyway hope in some way this might have helped you.
