Hello everyone, first time assembling a complete build, and I need some help.

In my system I have
i5-3570K
ASRock Z77M Micro ATX
G.Skill Sniper Series 8GB
Samsung 840 Series 120GB
Cannibalized laptop HDDs: Samsung 320Gb & WD Blue 250Gb
SeaSonic 620W
BitFenix Prodigy MicroATX

All fans spin, PSU is on, and HDDs are buzzing. I get to the splash screen and that's it. I press f2, f6, and delete to get to the BIOS and nothing. I wanted to see if its taking a signal from my keyboard so I tried ctrl+alt+delete and the pc resets.

I have tried:
all three of the graphic ports
taking out the motherboard battery and power and waiting 10 minutes.
booting with just the SSD to see if the HDDs were doing something to the config
and using only 1 dimm (tried both dimms one at a time on both dimm slots)

all these came out to the same result. Splash page that doesn't let me into the BIOS.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any replies.

Usually for asrock, the boot key is F2. Try holding that down on boot and if that doesn't work, hold down delete on the next boot. (only hold down one key at a time) Also, if these don't work, do you know if your keyboard works? :)

Yes, I have tried holding each key on (one at a time) on different boots. Also I know the keyboard works. I've plugged it to my laptop and it works, and when I press ctrl+alt+delete it resets the computer.

You could try to plug the keyboard in the opposite side of the computer (front or back) :)

I have tried all usb ports.
Nothing happens when I press f2 or delete.
However, when I press ctrl+alt+delete the computer resets.

I know I'm being a bit repetitive. However, I figure if I press ctrl+alt+delete that means that my keyboard is sending a signal. What is making me scratch my head is because I don't understand why it's not doing anything else.

Should I update my BIOS? Do you think that might help?

In case anyone finds this later on down the line. I tripped over the solution. It was my keyboard, the keyboard I was using didn't let me get pass the splash page. So I used a different Keyboard and "voila!" it works.

btw this was a first time boot.
Also Tech support at AsRock was very helpful I got an email back within 24 hours.

Other things I tried before arriving at the keyboard solution.
Plug KB and mouse to USB 2.0 ports.
& clear the CMOS.
