Hello I'm building a new PC and using my current HDD and I need to wipe it clean of all drivers and associated programs so I can install the new ones. I also must keep the OS as it's quite expensive to order the disc to re-install it. Any advice?

Solution
Yeah, you will have to budget for a new OS. The license of the old one is tied to the old MB and from the question you asked, you are building a new PC. The old OS license is not transferrable to a new MB / PC. Anyway, a fresh install is required to streamline the integration of the MB to the new OS.

The HDD works just fine in an alternate laptop (actually what I'm using atm) with no problems at all. Shouldn't it be the same for the next PC?
