Hello I have just bought an Asus gtx 660 direct cu oc and when I connected it to pci-e and plugged 6 pin connector (independent from psu/ not shared or split)
When I turn on pc I get no signal popping up on screen.
I have it connected to the lcd through hdmi going into the back of card.
Computer specs are:
Intel core 2 quad 9300
motherboard is an asus P5G41T - M LX
Power supply is a Storm Lpk19-35 700w
I even tried to pick it up manually with VGA connected directly to motherboard using onboard graphics while card was connected and all I could see was "Unknown Device" and could not pick it up.
I installed the Cd drivers for card and still nothing.
Took out all ram but one stick still nothing.
Remember I got picture using a VGA cable not the card.
Please help me out I tried everything and cannot get it to work.

Also just before connecting the card I formatted the hard drive and a clean OS install was done with motherboard CD drivers installed.
Still no luck??
I think the motherboard is a PCI-E 1.1 slot but I checked and people said that it would be sufficient for pci-e 3.0 with backward compatibility.
Please shine some light on this for me because for the last few days Ive spent hours searching and taking the pc apart trying everything.
