Question about RAPID mode on Samsung EVO SSD

I have a 120GB Samsung EVO SSD. Does the RAPID mode decrease life time? Is it really just free performance? What are the cons of using it?

the cons are that rapid uses ram as ramdisk for the ssd it sort of writes to ramdisk first and then from there to ssd, the only drawback is if your system shuts down crashes etc you loose your data that was on ramdis, and boot will be a bit slower because magician has to start first
