Laptop with good specs run games with low fps

My laptop has good specs I think but some games like need for speed most wanted 2012 runs I low fps like 10-20. My specs:
Intel core i7 2.0 ghz 2.0 ghz
6 gb ram
Nvdia GeForce gt 525M and intel (r) hd graphics
Please tell me what is going on I thought it would be good for gaming !

intel processor is fine its the gpu 525m isnt the best for gaming its a class 3 card but its pretty low in the table

certain games that are cpu and gpu demanding may falter

as you can see dirt 3 2011 takes a nose dive at high settings drop to medium or low

also make sure your not running of the intel graphics
