Hi! First time posting.
I have a hp pavilion 500-017c: A8-5500 amd apu, msi jasminer board, dvd drive and sata tb hardrive. The apu has the 7560d integrated gpu. I am trying to install the hd 7790 as a stand alone.
I have upgraded the psu to a corsair bronze cert. 600 watt psu.
I am getting lovely beeps. About 6 all at the same pace. I have reseated the ram and graphics card numerous times. When I disconnect the psu from the graphics card and remove it it runs normal. Whats weird is that when I took it to geek squad in Best buys(they are near me and the hp is still under warranty) They were able to get the cpu to stop beeping when they unplugged my 600 watt psu from graphics card(only) and used another psu to power it. So basically they had two psu's hooked up to my computer. One for the card alone and mine that powered the rest. Does any of this makes sense? The 600 watts is more then enough to power the card and the rest of the pc. The original stock computer only needed a 300 watt psu.
I need help!
