My current build is around 2 years old. All the parts were brand new at the time.

- GTX 560Ti Twin Frozr II 1GB
- Corsair 600W Builder Series PSU
- AMD phenom ii x4 960t black edition
(Nothing OC'd all stock)

Recently, I've been unable to apply any graphical stress whatsoever to my PC. Whenever I attempt to launch GTA IV, my PC reboots without any error shown on screen. I am also unable to begin a test with FurMark. As soon as I press GO, the PC reboots.

However, I have tried testing both the CPU and the GPU at the same time using "heavyload" with no problem at all. Does this software test the GPU in a different way or something?

I disabled automatic restart on system failure, but my computer still restarts with the safe mode options appearing when it starts back up.

I've re-installed the graphical drivers, and also checked all the connections inside, but nothing so far has helped. any ideas?

I've ran a virus scan, nothing found. I've also checked the temps. All normal. It's not just GTA that results in the problem, running FurMark also does so too.

Nope, the PC just restarts with no errors at all apart from the Safe mode prompt.

Where should I check to see if there are any logs relating to this? I've checked the event viewer but can't seem to see anything.

Thank everyone for your replies so far.
