I currently have Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H motherboard running on a Evga gtx 770. When I boot up my computer my Das keyboard works fine in bios then when I get to the windows sign in screen the keyboard lights all come on and it won't respond. I unplug it and plug it back in each time and sometimes it fixes it othertimes it still has trouble. I also have a net gear Wifi Usb adaptor that does the same thing if I plug it into the usb 3.0. Then when I get it to working perfect while the computer is on if I restart the computer its the same issue all over again.I dont understand how keyboard works perfect until the windows loading screen. I have installed the usb 3.0 drivers from gigabyte website and cannot figure out what to do. Is there a known issue with usb 2.0 devices having issues on usb 3.0 Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Justin

I only have one usb 2.0. When I plugged only the keyboard in it and restarted it seemed to work fine, but the issue is I plug the Wifi dongle into that port so can only choose one or the other. I tried a multiple usb hub plugged into the 2.0 and it was having issues that way also. It is really strange I will restart and sometimes the keyboard and the dongle will work on usb 3.0 the next time nothing will work. But when the keyboard messes up all the num lock, scroll lock key, caps lock key are lit up. I thought it was only my keyboard till I seen the Wifi dongle does the same issue.

There are adapters out that plug into a USB header on the motherboard and attach to one of the expansion slots on the back of the case. If you have an unused slot, I'd get one of those.

Something like http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA2C512U3437 goes in place of one of the expansion slot back plates on your case and connects to the motherboard. Just search for USB brackets.
