Can anyone foresee troubles arising with this build?

Hi all,
After Christmas, my sister and I will have some spare cash between us so we've proposed to pool our money to build a new PC that we can do our homework - and occasionally play Unreal Tournament '99 - on.

Naturally this won't require anything overly powerful or expensive, so I've composed this list of components that I'm considering.

Just a couple o' questions first:
1) Can anyone see any reason why these bits thrown together should not work?

2) The reason there is no HDD on that list is that I'm planning on using one out of an older PC; It is however, a SATA. (Not SATA II or III)
Is that a problem?

3) I'll be installing WinXP SP3 on it - Do you think any of these components would have an issue with that?
(Or if XP would have an issue with any of these components?)

Thanks in advance, and a Merry Christmas to y'all.

Solution
1) They should work, but you can leave out the cooler, the CPU comes with one and since you don't need much for performance, the basic one will work fine. The graphics performance is however tied to the speed of the memory, so you might want to spend a little more to get better memory and get 2 sticks.
From what i can see http://au.pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-memory-cmx4gx3m2b2000c9 would be your best bet.

2) As long as it is Sata there is no problem. It might be a little slow, but it should work.

3) Now that is a trickier question, most likely the stuff will work on XP, but there is no guarantee without checking each component individually.
Basically the motherboard and the CPU are the key things, the rest should work regardless...

Thanks for the heads up, I shall amend the list.

Thanks for that, I'll do some research and see what I can come up with.

Thanks,
