I need help over clocking my intel i5 4670k to 4.0 or 4.2. I am new to over clocking, I have all the system requirements to over clock such as cpu cooler, psu, etc. Please guide the steps on what to do. Thanks.

Solution
reduce the core Voltage and Core speed

Set Core Speed 4GHz and Vcore around 1.270 t0 1.280 V
Monitor ur Temperature.......if temperature Increases...reduce the Vcore a bit

Already have done that, there is more I have to do with haswell i guess, after i would say 30m to 1 hour of gaming i get the blue screen crash memory dump. My temps are pretty good. I am not sure if I need better ram tbh. Using http://www.bestbuy.com/site/pny-optima-4gb-pc3-10666-ddr3-dimm-desktop-memory/2327496.p?id=1218532316525&skuId=2327496#tab=specifications I think the ram is causing the dump because it only has transfer rate of 1333Mhz. If i stay in the game too long. If someone can confirm this would be great. I'm going to test out 4.0ghz tonight and leave my pc on while in game to see if it handles.

Today I set it to 4.2 to 1.26vcore, was perfect for around 6 hours of game play, on the 7th hour i got the blue screen. Do you think i have to give it more volt? Also note, in xmp- when i try to change it to profile 1 it says disabled.
