Looking at building a new computer thinking of the Intel core i5-3570k CPU, and either the geforce gtx 760 or radeon r 280 x graphic cards. I'm on a budget and don't want to drop more than 300 maybe 350 per component. I will be running windows 8 64. I do some real light 3D modeling that my current (core 2 duo cpu E6750@2.66GHz w 8GB memory window 7 64 and geforce 9800 GT single video card, (hp dc7800p conv mini tower business computer)) system can barely handle. Lots of the Photoshop CS5 things I want to do just won't happen, permanent hang. I would like to get into some gaming. I am looking at eventually running 3 monitors (probably 1920*1080 1080p 1 or 2ms 27") I am thinking of at least dual cards! Box, MB, everything else still in the air, (also do some programming in Microsoft visio 2010 pro, which current rig is so slow with) I would like advice on graphic cards because that will define the MB choice. Am I even on the right track? Would also appreciate brand recommendations or stay away from recommendations!

Hi - If you are doing heavy photoshop, 3D modeling, etc, the CPU is more important than the GPU choice. If you can go to the i7 & drop down a notch on video card, you are better off.

Now if you're going to do serious gaming then the reverse is true, get the i5 & the most powerful GPU you can afford.
