I have a fairly capable windows 8 laptop with i7cpu, nvidia 650 card and it came with Win8 which I upgraded to 8.1 I have been considering installing 7 as a dual boot since I can not play most games out there. Can somebody please direct me to the best site to purchase and offer some advice. Can I install it on the ssd in my machine which I am assuming is where win 8 lives now or is it better to just uninstall 8 and reinstall 7 clean? Also any advice at all would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Eleo

With over 500 games between Steam DVD and Origin I have not found even one game that does not work correctly with Windows 8.1. What is it you are having a problem with. It would be better to find a fix for the games that are not working than having to degrade your system by downgrading to a obsolete outdated OS.

I may have posted my reply to only one member, if so I wanted to thank those others who answered my post as well.

I have been searching Steam and Uplay and sites like Amazon and reading the system requirements for games I might want to purchase. Very few of them say they are good for Windows 8 as you all know they almost all stop at 7. Am I looking at this wr about purchasing a game fearing it wont work on 8.

Thanks again for the advice.

they tend to not update the spec, go to the developer website/forum and they will have update spec or patch.
