I click on a program, look in Task Manager and it's there with memory usage but it won't run and show as a program. There are two such programs, both old and used to work fine for years. They are Paint Shop Pro 9 (PSP9) and PSPX. I can't find the CDs I used to install them. I did find a PSP 8 CD and it installed fine. So it's not the type of program that is the problem.
Is there some MS service that should be running?
I have tried many things like BitDefender, CCcleaner, other "anti" programs to clean the registry, etc.
I found a PSP9 .msi program in my system, ran it, installed fine with no errors but when I click on the EXE file it behaves like before (nothing on screen but it's showing in Task Manager as a ."process".
