New to this and was hoping I could get some advice on software/hardware that I can use to videotape the games but also review content when asked questions such as, was it a goal, or a penalty, or rewind that for me, etc. I am using a Sony remote lanc tripod with Sony hdr-cx700v camera with a wide angle after market lens. I have Sony Vegas for editing when all done. I use a Gateway FX Intel Core i7 12 megs of ram. Any suggestions greatly appreciated

Erm, I'm a little confused. It sounds like you already have the software and the camera to do what you're asking for. If you're asking whether your camera and software is good enough, then yes, they're sufficient.

If you're asking how to preview the video while recording, you can't, as far as I know. However, if you bring a laptop with a SD card slot with you, you can quickly transfer the files during an opportune moment then continue to record while previewing on your laptop.
