Hi. I currently have a ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT, and I just got steam and installed payday 2. Not a very pleasant experience... Anyways, I was looking for a decent graphics card that can play it at medium settings. I am worried about killing my system. I know how to take the video card out, but I don't know which one's fit and which one's don't, so I created a tom's hardware account!

Any help appreciated, and I will do my best to answer all questions.

First of all, you need to check the rest of your system. What's your cpu? By what I see, it's probably an old one. If you get a medium range vga (graphic card) you'll need something around a 450w psu. You need to be sure too that your cpu won't bottleneck it, but by changing your cpu you'll need to change your motherboard, and by doing it, if your memory ram is still ddr2, you'll need to upgrade to ddr3. Veredict? I'd really consider getting a completely new rig. No dell, just build yourself a rig. If you lack the knowledge to do so, people here in the forum will be glad to help you out.

Upgrade everything? As in upgrading my RAM, GPU, and Hard drive? Because that's all I really know how to do right now lol. I can add another hard drive though. (2 slots)

Indeed, I really think it would be a waste to spend any money on your current computer since whatever new you get will need another upgrade, and so on and on. In the end you'll have changed basically everything but the hard drive (though it would be a waste in sticking to sata 2 since sata 3 is way faster on sequencial read/write, and a new mobo would provide sata 3 connections, which your current HD wouldn't be able to make use of).
