I am currently using an EVGA nex750w 80 + gold psu and am thinking about buying the Sapphire r9 280x toxic and it requires 2 8 pin PCIE. My psu came with 4 6 +2 pin / 6 pin PCIE. Can I use two different 6+2 PCIE cables to plug into my gpu? There are 4 slots for VGAs on the psu itself so can I take 2 of those slots for 1 gpu? That might have been worded badly, but I don't know how else to state it. Thanks in advance.

Solution
yes go the power supply made for sli/crossfire. you use two of the six plus two cables and plug them into two of the vga power ports on the power supply and your done.
