R9 280X vs GTX 770

Solution
I were you, I would pick 280x because of 4 gb VRAM. New future-prophet-games like battlefield 4 and crysis 3 show, that bigger amount of VRAM will be needed more and more in future, next gen games.

I play all sorts. From fps games like Battlefield 4 to Mine craft, to MMOs, Fallout, Far cry. I play at 1080p at the moment. The reason I was looking at the £250 area is because I was thinking about SLI or Crossfire (totally left that out). As I can buy one card now, and the other at a later date. I can get the R9 280X slightly cheaper than the GTX 770 but I am loathed to go back to AMD.

If you are looking to future-proof your system, then yes I would say that a 4GB version is good bet, especially if you are going to SLI them in the future.

This is the cheapest 4GB card I could find

That's what I thought Vic, also they are cheaper even if they are harder to get.. I'm ordering after Christmas so no mad rush to decide guys. I have around 300 to spend on each card :) Anything better than what I'm looking at?
